I am an Associate Professor at PUC-Rio Economics, on leave from the Richmond Fed. My research focuses on identifying the causes of business cycles, or detailing transmission mechanisms, with an eye to heterogeneity. I also have work on spatial and urban economics. I am also currently in the editorial board for the BE Journal of Macroeconomics and for the Brazilian Economics Review (Revista Brasileira de Economia).
